And the chamber that looks to the north is for the priests that keep the charge of the altar; they are the sons of Zadok, those of the tribe of Levi who draw near to the Lord, to serve Him.

And you shall appoint to the priests the Levites of the seed of Zadok, that draw near to Me, says the Lord God, to minister to Me, a calf of the heard for a sin offering.

for the priests, for the consecrated sons of Zadok, who keep the charges of the house, who erred not in the error of the children of Israel, as the Levites erred.

And I will raise up to Myself a faithful priest, who shall do all that is in My heart and in My soul; and I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My Christ forever.

And the king appointed Benaiah son of Jehoiada in his place over the army; and the kingdom was established in Jerusalem. And [as for] Zadok the priest, the king appointed him to be high priest in place of Abiathar. And Solomon son of David reigned over Israel and Judah in Jerusalem. And the Lord gave understanding to Solomon, and very much wisdom, and largeness of heart, as the sand by the seashore.

not given to wine, not a bully, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not loving money;

(for if one does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?);

Moreover he must have a good testimony among those outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience.

And the things which you have heard from me through many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be competent to teach others also.

"To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, 'These things says He that holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:

"And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, 'These things says the First and the Last, who became dead, and came to life:

"And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write, 'These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword:

"And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, 'These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass:

"And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, 'These things says He that has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name, that you live, and you are dead.

"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, 'These things says the Holy [One], the True [One], " He who has the key of David, He that opens and no man shuts, except He that opens, and no man shall open."

"And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write, 'These things says the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the beginning of the creation of God:

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." '"

At that time the Lord separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand near before the Lord, to minister and bless in His name, to this day.

And the Lord showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and the Devil stood on his right hand to resist him.

[ 3:4] Now Joshua was clothed in filthy garments, and stood before the Angel.

[ 3:6] and place a clean turban upon his head. So they placed a clean turban upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.

[ 3:8] Thus says the Lord Almighty; If you will walk in My ways, and take heed to My charges, then shall you judge My house: and if you will diligently keep My court, then will I give you men to walk in the midst of these that stand here.

That you have brought in aliens, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary, and to profane it, when you offered bread, flesh, and blood; and you transgressed My covenant by all your iniquities;

And the priest shall offer it upon the altar: [it is] a burnt offering, an aroma of sweet savor to the Lord. All the fat [belongs] to the Lord.

[It is] a perpetual statute throughout your generations, in all your habitations; you shall eat no fat and no blood.

That the children of Israel may offer their sacrifices, all that they shall kill in the fields, and bring them to the Lord, unto the doors of the tabernacle of witness to the priest, and they shall sacrifice them as a peace-offering to the Lord.

And the priest shall pour the blood on the altar round about before the Lord by the doors of the tabernacle of witness, and shall offer the fat for a sweet-smelling savor to the Lord.
