I will seek that which is lost, and I will recover the stray one, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen the fainting, and will guard the strong, and will feed them with judgment.

See how they are all blinded; they have not known; [they are] dumb dogs [that] will not bark; dreaming of rest, loving to slumber.

And is there no balm in Gilead, or is there no physician there? Why has not the healing of the daughter of my people taken place?

And the Lord said to me, Take to yourself shepherd's implements belonging to an unskillful shepherd.

For behold, I will raise up a shepherd against the land: he shall not visit that which is perishing, and he shall not seek that which is scattered, and he shall not heal that which is bruised, nor guide that which is whole: but he shall devour the flesh of the choice ones, and shall dislocate the joints of their necks.

But seeing the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and prostrated, like sheep having no shepherd.

Therefore strengthen the hands which are weakened, and the feeble knees,

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

What do you think? If a certain man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains, and go and search for the [one] gone astray?

And if he happens to find it, assuredly I say to you that he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which did not go astray.

What man of you, having a hundred sheep, and loses one of them, does not leave behind the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and goes after the one having been lost until he finds it?

And coming into the house, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!'

And the Egyptians tyrannized over the children of Israel by force.

And they embittered their life by hard labors, in the clay and in brick-making, and all the works in the plains, according to all the works, wherein they caused them to serve with violence.

[Woe to] him that builds his house by unrighteousness, and his upper chambers by injustice, who uses his neighbor's service without wages, and gives him nothing for his work.

And the farmers took his servants, they beat one, and one they killed, and another they stoned.

"and should begin to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards,

Not that we lord it over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.

Listen now, you rich, weep and howl at your miseries which are coming upon you!

Your gold and silver have become corroded, and their poison will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You stored up treasure in the last days.

You lived luxuriously upon the earth and you lived riotously, you nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.

shepherd the flock of God among you, overseeing not by compulsion, but rather willingly, not in fondness for dishonest gain, but rather eagerly;

nor as being masters over the flock [under you], but rather being examples to the flock.

And he deceives my own [people] who dwell on the earth by the signs which were given to him to do before the Beast, saying to those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound--and came to life!-from the sword.

And he causes all, small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, that they should receive marks on their right hand, or on their foreheads,

And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.
