Thus says the Lord: By this you shall know that I am the Lord: behold, I strike the water which is in the river with the rod that is in my hand, and it shall change it into blood.

And their slain shall be cast forth, and their corpses; and their stench shall come up, and the mountains shall be made wet with their blood.

And the mighty ones shall fall with them, and the rams and the bulls; and the land shall be soaked with blood, and shall be filled with their fat.

And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles, about one thousand six hundred stadia.

Because they shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You gave them blood to drink. They deserve it."
