[which was] adorned with [hangings] of fine linen and flax on cords of fine linen and purple, fastened to golden and silver studs, on pillars of Parian marble and stone. [There were] golden and silver couches on a pavement of emerald stone, and of pearl, and of Parian stone, and open-worked coverings variously flowered, [having] roses worked round about;

I have spread my bed with sheets, and I have covered it with double tapestry from Egypt.

I have sprinkled my couch with saffron, and my house with cinnamon.

On a lofty and high mountain, there is your bed, and from there you carried up your meat offerings;

And binding their clothes with cords, they have made them curtains near the altar, and they have drunk wine gained by extortion in the house of their God.

who sleep upon beds of ivory, and live delicately on their couches, and eat kids out of the flocks, and calves out of the midst of the stalls;

These shall enter into My sanctuary, and these shall approach My table, to minister to Me, and they shall keep My commandments.

But you are they that have left Me, and forget My holy mountain, and prepare a table for the devil, and fill up the drink offering to Fortune.

In that you bring to My altar polluted bread; and you said, In what way have we polluted it? In that you say, The table of the Lord is polluted, and that which was set on it you have despised.

And you took your embroidered garments and covered them, and you set before them My oil and My incense.

And [you took] My bread which I gave you, ([yea,] I fed you with fine flour and oil and honey) and set them before them for a sweet-smelling savor; yes, it was so, says the Lord.

I have sprinkled my couch with saffron, and my house with cinnamon.

For we will surely perform every word that shall proceed out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour drink offerings to her, as we and our fathers have done, and our kings and princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem. And [so] we were filled with bread, and were well, and saw no evils.

And she knew not that I gave her her grain, and wine, and oil, and multiplied silver to her: but she made silver and gold [images] for Baal.

Therefore I will return, and take away My grain in its season, and My wine in its time; and I will take away My raiment and My linen clothes, so that she shall not cover her nakedness.
