So I gave them commandments [that were] not good, and ordinances in which they should not live.

And I will defile them by their [own] decrees, when I pass through upon everyone that opens the womb, that I may destroy them.

Go, and cry to the gods whom you have chosen to yourselves, and let them save you in the time of your affliction.

And Elisha said to the king of Israel, What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father, and the prophets of your mother. And the king of Israel said to him, Has the Lord called the three kings to deliver them into the hands of Moab?

So I let them go after the ways of their own hearts; they will go on in their own ways.

Ephraim, joined with idols, has laid stumbling blocks in his own way.

You went into Bethel and sinned, and you multiplied sin at Gilgal; and you brought your grain offerings in the morning, and your tithes every third day.

And they read the law outdoors, and called for public professions: proclaim aloud that the children of Israel have loved these things, says the Lord.

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of the own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies among themselves,

For this reason God gave them up to passions of dishonor; for even their females exchanged the natural use for that which is contrary to nature,

And just as they did not approve to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things which are not fitting;

And because of this, God will send them strong delusion, in order for them to believe the lie,

For they have committed adultery, and blood was in their hands, they committed adultery with their devices, and they passed through the fire to them their children which they bore to Me.

And when they sacrificed their children to their idols, they also went into My sanctuary to profane it; and whereas they did thus in the midst of My house,

The sacrifices of the ungodly are an abomination to the Lord, for they offer them wickedly.

Though you bring fine flour, [it is] futile; incense is an abomination to Me; I cannot bear your new moons, and your Sabbaths, and the great day;

When you stretch forth your hands, I will turn away My eyes from you; and though you make many supplications, I will not hearken to you; for your hands are full of blood.

But the transgressor that sacrifices a calf to Me, is as he that kills a dog; and he that offers fine flour, as [one that offers] swine's blood; he that gives frankincense for a memorial, is as a blasphemer. Yet they have chosen their own ways, and their soul has delighted in their abominations.

and you murder, and commit adultery, and steal, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and have gone after strange gods whom you know not,

Is My house, which is called by My name, a den of robbers in your eyes? And behold, I have seen [it], says the Lord.

And I will stretch out My hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will remove the names of Baal out of this place, and the names of the priests;

and them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and swear by the Lord, and them that swear by their king;

"No one is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other, or else he will be devoted to the one, and he will despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish [that] you were cold or hot.

Therefore, since you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth.
