Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel, and you shall prophesy, and shall say to them, Hear the word of the Lord:

Thus says the Lord: Woe to them that prophesy out of their own heart, and who see nothing at all.

In the day of the Lord, have not stood, seeing false [visions,] prophesying vanities, who say, The Lord says, and the Lord has not sent them, and they began [to try] to confirm the word.

Then if someone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe [it].

For false christs and false prophets will be raised up, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
