Take us the little foxes that spoil the vines: for our vines put forth tender grapes.

you have fled, no one pursues [you]: [your] spirit has framed falsehood, it has dropped on you for wine and strong drink. But it shall come to pass, that out of the dropping of this people,

Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets that lead My people astray, that bite with their teeth, and proclaim peace to them; and [when] nothing was put into their mouth, they raised up war against them:

"But beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

For such [people] do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and through smooth speech and flattering, they deceive the hearts of the innocent.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.

Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

and that was because of false brothers secretly brought in (who slipped in to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might reduce us to slavery),

that we may no longer be infants, being tossed as by waves, and being carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in regard to deceitful scheming,

whose coming is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,

and in all deception of unrighteousness among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

But the Spirit explicitly says, that in latter times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

speaking lies in hypocrisy, having been seared with a hot iron [as to] their own conscience,

For there are also many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,

There said a certain one of them, a prophet of their own, "Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, idle gluttons."

Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke like a dragon.

And he works great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth before men.

Then the Beast was apprehended, and with him the False Prophet who had performed the signs before him, by which he had deceived those who received the mark of the Beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.
