SAMECH. You has visited us in wrath, and driven us away; You have slain, You have not pitied.

Let their way be dark and slippery, and an angel of the Lord persecuting them.

If I said, I will speak thus; behold, I [should] have broken covenant with the generation of Your children.

And He shall deliver their kings into your hands, and you shall destroy their name from that place; none shall stand up in opposition before you, until you have utterly destroyed them.

And it shall come to pass whenever the Lord your God shall have given you rest from all your enemies round about you, in the land which the Lord your God gives you to inherit, you shall blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven, and shall not forget [to do it].

God shall by no means be willing to pardon him, but then the wrath of the Lord and His jealousy shall flame out against that man; and all the curses of this covenant shall attach themselves to him, which are written in this book, and the Lord shall blot out his name from under heaven.

And the Lord said that He would not blot out the seed of Israel from under heaven; so He delivered them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

Thus shall you say to them: Let the gods which have not made heaven and earth perish from off the earth, and from under this sky.

For I will regard the heavens, the work of Your fingers; the moon and stars, which You have established.

The heaven of heavens [belongs] to the Lord; but He has given the earth to the sons of men.

Thus says the Lord: Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool; what kind of a house will you build for Me? And of what kind [is to be] the place of My rest?
