For God is the judge; He puts one down, and raises up another.

Many wait on the favor of rulers, but justice comes to a man from the Lord.

I am He that prepared light, and formed darkness; who makes peace, and creates calamity; I am the Lord God, that does all these things.

Shall the trumpet sound in the city, and the people not be alarmed? Shall there be evil in a city which the Lord has not wrought?
