Because they have caused My people to err, saying, Peace; and there is no peace; and one builds a wall, and they plaster it- it shall fall.

And you shall speak this word to them: Let your eyes shed tears day and night, and let them not cease; for the daughter of My people has been sorely bruised, and her plague is very grievous.

From the feet to the head, there is no soundness in them; neither wound, nor bruise, nor festering ulcer [are healed]; it is not possible to apply a plaister, nor oil, nor bandages.

And the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold in the day when the Lord shall heal the breach of His people, and shall heal the pain of your wound.

And I said, O sovereign Lord, verily You have deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, There shall be peace; whereas behold, the sword has reached even to their soul.

have lied to their Lord, and they have said, These things are not so; no evils shall come upon us; and we shall not see sword or famine.

And I said, Ah, Lord [God]! Behold, their prophets prophesy, and say, You shall not see a sword, nor shall famine be among you; for I will give truth and peace on the land, and in this place.

They say to them that reject the word of the Lord, There shall be peace to you; and to all that walk after their own lusts, and to everyone that walks in the error of his heart, they have said, No evil shall come upon you.

Yet two full years, and I will return into this place the vessels of the house of the Lord,

NUN. Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions, and they have not discovered your iniquity, to turn back your captivity; but they have seen for you vain burdens, and worthless visions.

Because you have perverted the heart of the righteous, whereas I perverted him not, and [that] in order to strengthen the hands of the wicked, that he should not at all turn from his evil way and live:

you have fled, no one pursues [you]: [your] spirit has framed falsehood, it has dropped on you for wine and strong drink. But it shall come to pass, that out of the dropping of this people,

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master, the [One] having bought them, and bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

For when they speak haughty [words] of emptiness, they entice through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, those who are escaping from those who are living in error,

promising to them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom anyone has been defeated, by this [one] also he has been enslaved.
