And it came to pass when the prophet was speaking to him, that he said to him, Have I made you the king's counselor? Take heed lest you be scourged! And the prophet became silent, and said, I know that [God] is disposed against you to destroy you, because you have done this thing, and have not hearkened to my counsel.

Also the children of Memphis and Tahpanhes have known you, and mocked you.

The word that came to Jeremiah for all the Jews dwelling in the land of Egypt, and for those settled in Migdol and in Tahpanhes, and in the land of Pathura, saying,

Proclaim [it] at Migdol, and declare [it] at Memphis. Say, Stand up, and prepare; for the sword has devoured your yew tree.

For there are princes in Tannis, evil messengers.

And the day shall be darkened in Tahpanhes, when I have broken there the scepters of Egypt; and the pride of her strength shall perish there, and a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall be taken prisoners.
