The word that came from the Lord to Jeremiah, when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashur, the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah, son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,

Inquire of the Lord for us, for the king of Babylon has risen up against us. Perhaps the Lord will do according to all His wonderful works, and [the king] shall depart from us.

Thus says the Lord concerning Ahab [the son of Kolaiah], and concerning Zedekiah: Behold, I [will] deliver them into the hands of the king of Babylon; and he shall slay them in your sight.

I sent you not in My name. And to Zephaniah the priest, the son of Maaseiah, say,

And the captain of the guard took the chief priest, and the second priest, and those that kept the way;

They said to a tree, You are my father; and to a stone, You have begotten me; and they have turned [their] backs to Me, and not their faces. Yet in the time of their afflictions they will say, Arise, and save us.

to Jeremiah the prophet, and said to him, Let now our supplication come before your face, and pray to the Lord your God for this remnant; for we are left [but a] few out of many, as your eyes see.

And Jeremiah said to them, I have heard [you.] Behold, I will pray for you to the Lord our God, according to your words; and it shall come to pass, [that] whatsoever word the Lord God shall answer, I will declare to you; I will not hide anything from you.

And Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron, and said, Pray for me to the Lord, and let Him take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will send them away, and they shall sacrifice to the Lord.

And Pharaoh said, I [will] let you go and sacrifice to your God in the wilderness, but do not go very far away- pray then to the Lord for me.

Pray then for me to the Lord, and let Him cause the thundering of God to cease, and the hail and the fire, and I will send you forth and you shall remain no longer.

Therefore pardon my sin yet this time, and pray to the Lord your God, and let Him take away from me this death.

And the people came to Moses and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord, and against you: pray therefore to the Lord, and let Him take away the serpent from us.

And all the people said to Samuel, Pray for your servants to the Lord your God, and let us not die; for we have added to all our sins this iniquity, in asking for us a king.

And King Jeroboam said to the man of God, Intreat the Lord your God, and let my hand be restored to me. And the man of God intreated the Lord, and He restored the king's hand to him, and it became as before.

Then Simon answered and said, "Pray to the Lord for me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me."
