So you shall read this scroll in the ears of the people in the house of the Lord, on the day of fasting; and in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities, you shall read to them.

And Baruch did according to all that Jeremiah commanded him-- reading in the book the words of the Lord in the Lord's house.

And I brought them into the house of the Lord, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Ananias, the son of Godolias, a man of God, who dwells near the house of the princes that are over the house of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, who kept the court.

And Michaiah the son of Gemariah the son of Shaphan heard all the words of the Lord, out of the book.

But Elnathan and Gemariah suggested to the king that he should burn the scroll.

And Michaiah the son of Gemariah the son of Shaphan heard all the words of the Lord, out of the book.

Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, to prevent his being delivered into the hands of the people, or being killed.

by the hand of Elasah son of Shaphan, and Gemariah son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to [Nebuchadnezzar] king of Babylon, to Babylon) saying,

and one eunuch, who was over the men of war, and seven men of renown, who were in the king's presence that were found in the city; and the scribe of the forces, who did the part of a scribe to the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land, who were found in the midst of the city.

And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, [were] priests; and Seraiah [was] the scribe,

And Sheva [was] scribe; and Zadok and Abiathar [were] the priests.

And Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, the steward, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph the recorder came in to Hezekiah, having torn their clothes; and they reported to him the words of Rabshakeh.

And the princes of Judah heard this word, and they went up out of the house of the king to the house of the Lord, and sat in the entrance of the new gate.

Nevertheless he took not away the high places; for the people still sacrificed and burnt incense on the high places. He built the Upper Gate of the Lord's house.
