And Baruch read in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the Lord, in the house of Gemariah son of Shaphan the scribe, in the upper court, in the entrance of the new gate of the house of the Lord, and in the ears of all the people.

And he went down to the king's house, into the house of the scribe. And behold, there were sitting there all the princes, Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Jonathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

And this [is] the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.

And the children of Judah came to Joshua in Gilgal, and Caleb the [son] of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, You know the word that the Lord spoke to Moses the man of God concerning me and you in Kadesh Barnea.

And a man of God came to Eli, and said, Thus says the Lord, I plainly revealed Myself to the house of your father, when they were servants in Egypt to the house of Pharaoh.

And the young man said to him, Behold now, there is a man of God in this city, and the man is of high repute; all that he shall speak will surely come to pass. Now then let us go, that he may tell us our way on which we have set out.

And the young man answered Saul again and said, Behold, I have here in my hand a fourth part of a shekel of silver, and you shall give it to the man of God, and he shall tell us our way.

And the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

And behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel, and Jeroboam stood at the altar to sacrifice.

And [the prophet] that turned him back out of the road heard, and said, This is the man of God who rebelled against the word of the Lord.

And she said to Elijah, What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come in to me to bring my sins to remembrance, and to slay my son?

And the woman said to Elijah, Behold, I know that you [are] a man of God, and the word of the Lord in your mouth [is] true.

Then the man of God came, and said to the king of Israel, Thus says the Lord: Because Syria has said, The Lord God of Israel [is] a God of the hills, and He [is] not a God of the valleys, therefore will I give this great army into your hand, and you shall know that I [am] the Lord.

And he sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty [men]. And he went up to him; and behold, Elijah sat on the top of a mountain. And the captain of fifty spoke to him, and said, O man of God, the king has called you, come down.

And the king sent a second time to him another captain of fifty, and his fifty. And the captain of fifty spoke to him, and said, O man of God, thus says the king, Come down quickly.

And the king sent yet again a captain and his fifty. And the third captain of fifty came, and knelt on his knees before Elijah, and entreated him, and spoke to him and said, O man of God, let my life, and the life of these fifty your servants, be precious in your eyes.

So Naaman went down, and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of Elisha; and his flesh returned to him as the flesh of a little child, and he was cleansed.

And Gehazi the servant of Elisha said, Behold, my Lord has spared this Syrian Naaman, so as not to take of his hand what he has brought; as the Lord lives, I will surely run after him, and take something from him.

And the king of Israel sent to the place which Elisha mentioned to him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice.

And the officer on whose hand the king rested answered Elisha and said, Behold, [if] the Lord would make floodgates in heaven, might this thing be? And Elisha said, Behold, you shall see with your eyes, but shall not eat thereof.

And the king appointed the officer on whose hand the king leaned [to have charge] over the gate; and the people trampled on him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God [had] said, who spoke when the messenger came down to him.

And the woman arose, and did according to the word of Elisha, both she and her house; and they sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.

And the king spoke to Gehazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, saying, Please tell me of all the great things that Elisha has done.

And the king asked the woman, and she told him. And the king appointed her a eunuch, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field from the day that she left the land until now.

And the king said to Hazael, Take in your hand a present, and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord by him, saying, Shall I recover of this my disease?

And Josiah turned aside, and saw the tombs that were there in the city, and sent, and took the bones out of the tombs, and burned them on the altar, and defiled it, according to the word of the Lord which the man of God spoke, when Jeroboam stood by the altar at the feast; and he turned and raised his eyes to the tomb of the man of God that spoke these words.

And he said, What [is] that mound which I see? And the men of the city said to him, [It is the grave of] the man of God that came out of Judah, and uttered these things which you have done upon the altar of Bethel.

And he established, according to the order of his father David, the courses of the priests, and [that] according to their public ministrations. And the Levites [were appointed] over their charges, to praise and minister before the priests according to the daily order. And the porters were appointed according to their courses to the different gates; for thus [were] the commandments of David the man of God.

And there came a man of God to him, saying, O king, let not the army of Israel go with you; for the Lord is not with Israel, [even] all the sons of Ephraim.

And Amaziah said to the man of God, But what shall I do [for] the hundred talents which I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God said, The Lord can give you much more than these.

You however, O man of God, flee these things. But pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.

that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.

And the princes of Judah heard this word, and they went up out of the house of the king to the house of the Lord, and sat in the entrance of the new gate.

And the captain of the guard took the chief priest, and the second priest, and those that kept the way;

And Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in its lid, and set it by the altar in the house of a man [belonging to] the house of the Lord, and the priests that kept the door put all the money [there] that was found in the house of the Lord.

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the high priest, and Zephaniah the second in order, and the three doorkeepers.

And [he was stationed] there in the king's gate eastward; these [are] the gates of the companies of the sons of Levi.

And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren belonging to the house of his father, the Korahites [were] over the works of the service, keeping the watches of the tabernacle, and their fathers over the camp of the Lord, keeping the entrance.

For the charge [was] upon them, and these [were] charged with the keys to open the doors of the temple every morning.

And he established, according to the order of his father David, the courses of the priests, and [that] according to their public ministrations. And the Levites [were appointed] over their charges, to praise and minister before the priests according to the daily order. And the porters were appointed according to their courses to the different gates; for thus [were] the commandments of David the man of God.

For one day in Your courts is better than thousands. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of God, than dwell in the tents of sinners.

when they set My doorway by their doorway, and My thresholds near to their thresholds; and they made My wall as it were joining Myself and them, and they profaned My holy name with their iniquities which they wrought; and I destroyed them in My wrath and with slaughter.
