O Lord, the hope of Israel, let all that have left You be ashamed, let them that have revolted be written on the earth, because they have forsaken the fountain of life, the Lord.

All that found them consumed them. Their enemies said, Let us not leave them alone, because they have sinned against the Lord. He that gathered their fathers [had] a pasture of righteousness.

And the Lord shall cry out of Zion, and shall utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heaven and the earth shall be shaken, but the Lord shall spare His people, and shall strengthen the children of Israel.

Therefore for this reason I have requested you, to see and to speak to you, for because of the hope of Israel I am wearing this chain."

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope,

For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, that saves you; I have made Egypt and Ethiopia your ransom, and [have given] Seba for you.

I am God; and beside Me there is no savior.

For you are God, yet we knew [it] not, the God of Israel, the Savior.

If they will declare, let them draw near, that they may know together, who has caused these things to be heard from the beginning; then was it told you. I am God, and there is not another beside Me; a just [God] and a Savior; there is none besides Me.

The Lord also has become a refuge for the poor, a seasonable help, in affliction.

But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord; and He is their defender in the time of affliction.

And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them; and He shall rescue them from sinners, and save them, because they have hoped in Him.

For the end, for the sons of Korah; A Psalm concerning secret things. God is our refuge and strength, a help in the afflictions that have come heavily upon us.

And call upon Me in the day of affliction; and I shall deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Pause.

He shall call upon Me, and I will hearken to him; I am with him in affliction; and I will deliver him, and glorify him.

Though I should walk in the midst of affliction, You will revive me; You have stretched forth Your hands against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand has saved me.

who comforts us in all our tribulation, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, by means of the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Because just as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.

Why do You stand afar off, O Lord? [Why] do You overlook [us] in times of need, in affliction?

And he lifted up his eyes, and saw a traveler in the street of the city; and the old man said to him, Where are you going, and where do you come from?
