And if the Lord of Sabaoth had not left us a seed, we would have become like Sodom, and been made like Gomorrah.

And it shall be, [that] the remnant left in Zion, and the remnant left in Jerusalem, [even] all that are appointed to life in Jerusalem, shall be called holy.

And it shall come to pass in that day [that] the remnant of Israel shall no more join themselves with, and the saved of Jacob shall no more trust in them that injured them; but they shall trust in the Holy God of Israel, in truth.

And though the people of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant of them shall be saved.

And unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days will be cut short.

And unless the Lord had cut short the days, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the elect, whom He chose, He cut short the days.

Even so then, at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

And if by grace, [it is] no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if [it is] of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

For if the firstfruit is holy, [so] also the lump; and if the root is holy, so also the branches.

do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, [remember] that you do not support the root, but the root [supports] you.

Well [said]. By unbelief they were broken off, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear.

Behold then the kindness and severity of God: upon those that fell, severity; but upon you, kindness, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise you also shall be cut off.

For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more shall these, the natural ones, be grafted into their own olive tree?

And so all Israel shall be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer shall come out of Zion, and He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob;

As regards to the gospel, [they are] enemies for your sake; but as regards to election, [they are] beloved for the sake of the fathers.

For there is hope for a tree, even if it should be cut down, [that] it shall blossom again, and its branch shall not fail.

it will blossom from the scent of water, and will produce a crop, as one newly planted.

Thus says the Lord: As the new wine shall be found in the cluster, and they shall say, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it; so will I do for the sake of him that serves Me, for his sake I will not destroy [them] all.

And I will lead forth the seed [that came] of Jacob and of Judah, and they shall inherit My holy mountain; and My elect and My servants shall inherit it, and shall dwell there.

And in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves and their sons, and the holy seed has passed among the nations of the lands, and the hand of the rulers [has been] first in this transgression.

And did he not do well? And [there was] the residue of his spirit. But you said, What does God seek but a seed? But take heed to your own spirit, and forsake not the wife of your youth.

"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

of whom are the fathers and from whom Christ [came], according to the flesh, He who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

Even so then, at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more shall these, the natural ones, be grafted into their own olive tree?

Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises spoken. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ.

For if the inheritance [comes] by the law, it is no longer of promise; but God has given it to Abraham by promise.
