Who is the man that fears the Lord? He shall instruct him in the way which he has chosen.

The Lord is the strength of them that fear Him; and His covenant is to manifest [truth] to them.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and all that act accordingly have a good understanding; His praise endures forever and ever.

Alleluia. Blessed is the man that fears the Lord; he will delight greatly in His commandments.

A Song of Degrees. Blessed are all they that fear the Lord; who walk in His ways.

Hear the end of the matter, the sum: Fear God, and keep His commandments; for this is man's all.

Thus they spoke, [those] that feared the Lord, everyone to his neighbor: and the Lord gave heed, and listened, and He wrote a book of remembrance before him for them that feared the Lord and reverenced His name.

Jacob is My servant, I will help him; Israel is My elect, My soul has accepted him; I have put My Spirit upon him; he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

and said to me, You are My servant, O Israel, and in you I will be glorified.

the Lord also is pleased to take away from the travail of His soul, to show Him light, and to form [Him] with understanding; to justify the just one who serves many well; and He shall bear their sins.

And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

O people walking in darkness, behold a great light; you that dwell in the region [and] shadow of death, a light shall shine upon you.

Therefore has judgment departed from them, and righteousness shall not overtake them; while they waited for light, darkness came upon them; while they waited for brightness, they walked in perplexity.

As when His lamp shone over my head; when by His light I walked through darkness.

Yea, though I walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

He has taken me, and led me away into darkness, and not [into] light.

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He that follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

I have come as a light into the world, so that whoever believes in Me may not abide in darkness.

supporting truth, and keeping peace; for on You, O Lord,

they have trusted with confidence forever, the great, eternal God;

And David was greatly distressed, because the people spoke of stoning him, because the souls of all the people were grieved, each for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

and they prevailed against them; and the Hagrites were given into their hands, [they] and all their tents, for they cried to God in the battle, and He hearkened to them, because they trusted on Him.

O Lord our God, will You not judge them? For we have no strength to resist this great multitude that has come against us; and we know not what we shall do to them, but our eyes are toward You.

And they rose early in the morning and went out to the Wilderness of Tekoa. And as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and cried, and said, Hear me, O Judah, and you inhabitants of Jerusalem; put your trust in the Lord God, and your trust shall be honored; trust in His prophet, and you shall prosper.

Though the Mighty One should lay [His] hand upon me, forasmuch as He has begun, verily I will speak, and plead before Him.

For if I shall go first, and exist no longer, still what do I know [concerning] the latter end?

For He already knows my way, and He has tried me as gold.

I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and let your heart be strengthened; yea, wait on the Lord!

The Lord is my helper and my defender; my heart has hoped in Him, and I am helped; my flesh has revived, and willingly will I give praise to Him.

For the end, A Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the Lord; and He attended to me, and hearkened to my supplication.

And He put a new song into my mouth, [even] a hymn to our God; many shall see [it] and fear, and shall hope in the Lord.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you trouble me? Hope in God; for I will give thanks to Him; [He is] the health of my countenance, and my God.

Hope in Him, all you congregation of the people; pour out your hearts before Him, for God is our helper. Pause.

My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless His holy name forever and ever.

TETH. The Lord is good to them that wait for Him; the soul which shall seek Him

is good, and shall wait for, and quietly expect salvation from the Lord.

But I will look to the Lord; I will wait upon God my Savior: my God will hearken to me.

I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against Him, until He make good my cause: He also shall maintain my right, and shall bring me out to the light, and I shall behold His righteousness.

For we do not desire you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.

who delivered us from so great a death, and is delivering [us]; in whom we trust that He will still deliver [us],

casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares about you.
