then let my wife also please another, and let my children be brought low.

The chosen men lifted up the voice in weeping, and the youths fainted under the wood.

that I may strip her naked, and make her again as she was at the day of her birth: and I will make her desolate, and make her as a dry land, and will kill her with thirst.

The inhabitant of Shaphir, fairly inhabiting her cities, did not come forth to mourn for the house next to her: she shall receive of you the stroke of grief.

Behold, I am against you, says the Lord God Almighty, and I will uncover your skirts in your presence, and I will show the nations your shame, and the kingdoms your disgrace.

And I will cast abominable filth upon you according to your unclean ways, and will make you a public spectacle.
