Judges 16:23-30

And when their heart was merry, then they said, Call Sampson out of the prison house, and let him play before us. And they called Sampson out of the prison house, and he played before them; and they struck him with the palms of their hands, and set him between the pillars.

And Sampson said to the young man that held his hand, Allow me to feel the pillars on which the house [rests], and I will lean myself upon them.

And the house [was] full of men and women, and there [were] all the chiefs of the Philistines, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women looking at the sports of Sampson.

And Sampson wept before the Lord, and said, O Lord, my Lord, remember me, I pray, and strengthen me, O God, just this once, and I will be avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

And Sampson took hold of the two pillars on which the house stood, and leaned on them, and laid hold of one with his right hand, and the other with his left.

And Sampson said, Let my wife perish with the Philistines. And he bowed himself mightily; and the house fell upon the princes, and upon all the people that were in it. And the dead whom Sampson slew in his death were more than those whom he slew in his life.
1 Kings 18:19-29

Then you call loudly on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord my God, and it shall come to pass that the God who shall answer by fire, He [is] God. And all the people answered and said, The word which you have spoken [is] good.

And Elijah said to the prophets of shame, Choose to yourselves one bull, and dress it first, for you [are] many; and call on the name of your god; but apply no fire.

And they took the bull and dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning till noon, and said, hear us, O Baal, hear us. And there was no voice, neither was there hearing, and they ran up and down on the alter which they had made.

And it was noon, and Elijah the Tishbite mocked them, and said, Call with a loud voice, for he is a god; for he is meditating, or else perhaps he is engaged in business, or perhaps he is asleep, and needs to be awakened.
28
And they cried with a loud voice, and cut themselves according to their custom with knives and lancets until the blood gushed out upon them.

And they prophesied until the evening came. And it came to pass as it was the time of the offering of the sacrifice, that Elijah the Tishbite spoke to the prophets of the abominations, saying, Stand by for the present, and I will offer my sacrifice. And they stood aside and departed.

Daniel 3:1-7

In the eighteenth year Nebuchadnezzar the king made a golden image, its height was sixty cubits, [and] its breadth [was] six cubits. And he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

And he sent forth to gather the governors, and the captains, and the heads of provinces, chiefs, and princes, and those who were in authority, and all the rulers of districts, to come to the dedication of the image.

So the heads of provinces, the governors, the captains, the chiefs, the great princes, those who were in authority, and all the rulers of districts, were gathered to the dedication of the image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. And they stood before the image.

Then a herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, you peoples, tribes, and languages,

at what hour you shall hear the sound of the trumpet, pipe, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and every kind of music, you shall fall down and worship the golden image which King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.

And whosoever shall not fall down and worship, in the same hour he shall be cast into the burning fiery furnace.

And it came to pass when the nations heard the sound of the trumpet, pipe, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of music, all the nations, tribes, and languages fell down and worshipped the golden image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
Daniel 5:1-6

Belshazzar the king made a great supper for his thousand nobles, and [there was] wine before the thousand.

And Belshazzar, drinking, gave orders as he tasted the wine that they should bring the gold and silver vessels, which Nebuchadnezzar his father had brought forth from the temple in Jerusalem; that the king, and his nobles, and his mistresses, and his concubines, should drink out of them.

So the gold and silver vessels were brought which [Nebuchadnezzar] had taken out of the temple of God in Jerusalem; and the king, and his nobles, and his mistresses, and his concubines drank out of them.

They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of iron, and of wood, and of stone.

In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote in front of the lamp on the plaster of the wall of the king's house: and the king saw the knuckles of the hand that wrote.

Then the king's countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him, and the joints of his hips were loosed, and his knees knocked one another.
Acts 19:24-34

For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Artemis, providing no little trade [for] the craftsmen,
25
whom he gathered, with the workers of similar occupation, and said: "Men, you know out of this trade is our prosperity.
26
And you observe and hear that not only at Ephesus, but almost in all of Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away a great multitude, saying that they are not gods which are made by human hands.
27
And not only is this business of ours in danger to come into disrepute, but also the temple of the great goddess Artemis may be despised and also her magnificence, about to be destroyed, she whom all Asia and the world worship."

And hearing, and becoming full of anger, they were crying out saying, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!"

And the whole city was filled with confusion, and they rushed with one purpose into the theater, having seized Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians, traveling companions of Paul.

Now when Paul desired to enter into the people, the disciples would not permit him.

And also some of the officials of Asia, being friends with him, sent word to him and urged him not to present himself in the theater.
32
Then others were calling out something different, for the assembly was confused, and the majority did not know for what reason they had come together.

And from the crowd they brought forward Alexander, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander motioned with his hand, and desired to make a defense to the people.
34
But recognizing he was a Jew, there arose one voice from [them] all, calling out for two hours, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!"
Revelation 19:19-21

And I saw the Beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, having been gathered together to make war against Him who rode on the horse and against His army.
20
Then the Beast was apprehended, and with him the False Prophet who had performed the signs before him, by which he had deceived those who received the mark of the Beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

And the rest were slain with the sword which proceeds from the mouth of Him who rode on the horse. And all the birds gorged themselves with their flesh.
