Who has measured the water in His hand, and the heaven with a span, and all the earth in a handful? Who has weighed the mountains in scales, and the forests in a balance?

[It is] He that comprehends the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants in it are as grasshoppers; He that set up the heaven as a chamber, and stretched [it] out as a tent to dwell in;

And now, have you not known? Have you not heard? The eternal God, the God that formed the ends of the earth, shall not hunger, nor be weary, and there is no searching of His understanding.

Thus says the Lord that redeems you, and who formed you from the womb: I am the Lord that performs all things; I stretched out the heaven alone, and established the earth.

I have made the earth, and man upon it; with My hand I have established the heavens; I have given commandment to all the stars.

Thus says the Lord that made the heaven, this God that created the earth, and made it; He marked it out, He made it not in vain, but formed it to be inhabited; I am the Lord, and there is no other.

My hand also has founded the earth, and My right hand has fixed the sky; I will call them, and they shall stand together.

In the beginning You, O Lord, laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Your hands.

They shall perish, but You remain; and [they all] shall grow old like a garment; and as a vesture shall You fold them, and they shall be changed.

The deep, like a garment, is His covering; the waters shall stand on the hills.

They go up to the mountains, and down to the plains, to the place which You founded for them.

He sends forth His fountains among the valleys; the waters shall run between the mountains.

By them shall the birds of the sky lodge; they shall utter a voice out of the midst of the rocks.

He makes grass to grow for the cattle, and green herbs for the service of men, to bring bread out of the earth;

The trees of the plain shall be full [of sap]; [even] the cedars of Lebanon which He has planted.

The high mountains are a refuge for the goats, [and] the rock for the rabbits.

You made the darkness, and it was night; in it all the wild beasts of the forest will be abroad;

The sun arises, and they shall be gathered together, and shall lie down in their dens.

How great are Your works, O Lord! In wisdom have You done them all; the earth is filled with Your creation.

There go the ships; [and] this dragon whom You have made to play in it.

When You have given [it to] them, they will gather [it]; and when You have opened Your hand, they shall all be filled with good.

You shall send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created; and You shall renew the face of the earth.

who looks upon the earth, and makes it tremble; who touches the mountains, and they smoke.

Let my meditation be sweet to Him, and I will rejoice in the Lord.

It is the Lord that made the earth by His strength, who set up the world by His wisdom, and by His understanding stretched out the sky,

O great Lord! You have made the heaven and the earth by Your great power, and with Your high and lofty arm; nothing can be hidden from You.

[It is He] that builds His ascent up to the sky, and establishes His promise on the earth; who calls the water of the sea, and pours it out on the face of the earth; the Lord Almighty is His name.

The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel. Thus says the Lord, that stretches out the sky, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.

has in these last days spoken to us by [the] Son, whom He has appointed heir [of] all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

And: "You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.

and like a cloak You will roll them up, and they shall be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will not fail."

And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering of the waters He called Seas; and God saw that it was good.

And the earth brought forth the herb of grass-bearing seed according to its kind and according to its likeness, and the fruit tree bearing fruit whose seed is in it, according to its kind on the earth; and God saw that it was good.

A Psalm of David on the first day of the week. The earth is the Lord's and all its fullness; the world, and all that dwell in it.

He has founded it upon the seas, and prepared it upon the rivers.

To Him who established the earth on the waters; for His mercy [endures] forever.

And God formed the man of the dust of the earth, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

Seeing that the life of all living things is in His hand, and the breath of every man.

verily, while my breath is yet in me, and the breath of God which remains to me is in my nostrils,

The Divine Spirit is that which formed me, and the breath of the Almighty [is] that which teaches me.

For if He would confine, and restrain His Spirit with Himself;

By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of His [mouth].

And you have exalted yourself against the Lord God of heaven; and they have brought before you the vessels of His house, and you, your nobles, your mistresses, and your concubines have drunk wine out of them; and you have praised the gods of gold, silver, brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, and which hear not, and know not: and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.

nor by the hands of men is He served, as though He needed anything, for He gives to all life, and breath, with respect to all things.
