For with a secret hand the Lord wages war upon Amalek to all generations.

The Lord has sworn, and will not relent, You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.

Therefore hear the word of the Lord, all [you] Jews dwelling in the land of Egypt: Behold, I have sworn by My great name, says the Lord, My name shall no longer be in the mouth of every Jew to say, The Lord lives, in all the land of Egypt.

The Lord swears against the pride of Jacob, None of your works shall ever be forgotten.

For we who have believed enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest," although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.

For men indeed swear by the greater, and the oath for confirmation [is] an end of every dispute to them.

in order that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong encouragement, who have fled to take hold of the hope being set before [us];

declaring beforehand the latter events before they come to pass, and they are accomplished together; and I said, all My counsel shall stand, and I will do all things that I have planned;

calling a bird from the east, and from a land afar off, for the things which I have planned; I have spoken, and brought [him]; I have created and made [him]; I have brought him, and prospered his way.

And if He too has thus judged, who is he that has contradicted, for He has both willed a thing and done it.

The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; He brings to nought the reasonings of the people, and brings to nought the counsels of princes.

How have Your works been magnified, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep.

[There are] many thoughts in a man's heart, but the counsel of the Lord abides forever.

There is no wisdom, there is no courage, there is no counsel against the ungodly.

And the Lord's wrath shall return no more, until He has accomplished it, and until He has established it, according to the purpose of His heart. At the end of the days they shall understand it.

And I will devise for you a plan of peace, and not evil, to bestow upon you these [good things].

Who has thus spoken, and it has come to pass? The Lord has not commanded it.

At that time Jesus answered and said, "I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them to babes.

to do all that Your hand and Your counsel foreordained to come to pass.

having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,
