And there shall come forth a Rod out of the root of Jesse, and a blossom shall come up from [his] root;

For the eyes of the Lord are high, but man is low; and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

And again, Isaiah says: "There shall be the root of Jesse; and He that shall rise to rule over the Gentiles, in Him the Gentiles shall hope."

I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify these things to you for the churches. I am the Root and the Stock of David, the Bright and Morning Star."

So shall they of the west fear the name of the Lord, and they [that come] from the rising of the sun [shall fear] His glorious name; for the wrath of the Lord shall come as a mighty river, it shall come with fury.

A ruler shall not fail from Judah, nor a prince from his loins, until there come the things stored up for him; and He is the expectation of nations.

And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all [peoples] to Myself."

And kings shall walk in your light, and nations in your brightness.

Then shall you see, and fear, and be amazed in your heart; for the wealth of the sea shall come round to you, and of nations and peoples; and herds of camels shall come to you,

For thus says the Lord: Behold, I turn toward them as a river of peace, and as a torrent bringing upon them in a flood the glory of the Gentiles; their children shall be borne upon the shoulders, and comforted on the knees.

And I will leave a sign upon them, and I will send forth them that have escaped of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, Lud, Mosoch, and to Tubal, and to Greece, and to the isles afar off, to those who have not heard of My name, nor seen My glory; and they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles.

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East arrived in Jerusalem,

saying, "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East, and have come to worship Him."

And I say to you that many shall come from east and west, and recline [to eat] with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven;

And in His name [the] nations shall hope."

a light for a revelation to the Gentiles, and a glory to Your people Israel."

And there were some Greeks among those coming up, so that they might worship at the feast.

Then they approached Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and they asked him, saying, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."

And hearing these things, they remained silent, and [they] glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted even to the Gentiles repentance unto life."

delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you,

to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, [in order for] them to receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'

"Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it!"

and that the Gentiles might glorify God on behalf of His mercy, as it is written: "For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, and I will sing praise to Your name."

And again: "Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Praise Him, all you peoples!"

And the works of righteousness shall be peace; and righteousness shall ensure rest, and [the righteous] shall be confident forever.

And His people shall inhabit a city of peace, and dwell in [it] in confidence, and they shall rest with wealth.

Rejoice, O Jerusalem, and all you that love her hold in her a general assembly; rejoice greatly with her, all that [now] mourn over her;

He shall overshadow you with His shoulders, and You shall trust under His wings; His truth shall cover you with a shield.

Return to your rest, O my soul; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

Thus says the Lord, Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths of the Lord; and see what is the good way and walk in it, and you shall find purification for your souls. But they said, We will not walk [in them].

[ 2:10] For the glory of this house shall be great, the latter more than the former, says the Lord Almighty: and in this place will I give peace, says the Lord Almighty, even peace of soul for a possession to everyone that builds, to raise up this temple.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

and to give you who are being afflicted rest along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His mighty angels,

These shall pay a penalty--eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might,

Therefore we also pray always concerning you that our God may count you worthy of [this] calling, and may fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power,

Therefore let us fear, lest while the promise remains to enter into His rest, anyone of you seems to have fallen short.

Then there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

Let us therefore be diligent to enter into that rest, lest anyone falls in the same example of disobedience.

And there is no creature hidden before Him, but all things are naked and open to His eyes, to whom we must give an account.

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but having been tempted in all [respects] in quite the same way as [we are], yet without sin.

so that the genuineness of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes, though being tested with fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

obtaining for yourselves the outcome your faith--the salvation [of your] souls.

But may the God of all grace, the [One] having called you into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little [while], may He Himself make you complete--He will establish, strengthen, [and] firmly ground [you].

The saints shall rejoice in glory; and shall exalt on their beds.
