And it came to pass on the fourth day, that they said to the wife of Sampson, Deceive now your husband, and let him tell you the riddle, lest we burn you and your father's house with fire: did you invite us to do us violence?

And Saul said nothing on that day, for he said, It seems to have fallen out that he is not clean, because he has not purified himself.

And Jonathan answered Saul, and said to him, David asked permission of me to go to Bethlehem, his city.

And Saul was exceedingly angry with Jonathan, and said to him, You son of a traitorous woman! For do I not know that you are an accomplice with the son of Jesse to yourself, and to the shame of your mother's nakedness?

And Jonathan answered Saul, Why is he to die? What has he done?

And Saul said to his servants that stood by him, Hear now, you sons of Benjamin, will the son of Jesse indeed give all of you fields and vineyards, and will he make you all captains of hundreds and captains of thousands?

That you are conspiring against me, and there is no one that informs me, whereas my son has made a covenant with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or informs me, that my son has stirred up my servant against me for an enemy, as it is this day?

And King Saul said, You shall surely die, Abimelech; you and all your father's house.

And the king said to Doeg, Turn, and fall upon the priests: and Doeg the Syrian turned, and killed the priests of the Lord in that day, three hundred and five men, all wearing an ephod.

And Nabal sprang up, and answered the servants of David, and said, Who is David? And who is the son of Jesse? Nowadays there are an abundance of servants who depart, everyone from his master.

And shall I take my bread, and my wine, and my beasts that I have slain for my shearers, and shall I give them to men of whom I know not who they are?

And behold, all the men of Israel came to the king, and said to the king, Why have our brethren the men of Judah stolen you away, and caused the king and all his house to pass over the Jordan, and all the men of David with him?

And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we are older than you, we have also an interest in David above you: and why have you thus insulted us, and why was not our advice taken before that of Judah, to bring back our king? And the speech of the men of Judah was sharper than the speech of the men of Israel.

And there was a transgressor there, and his name was Sheba, a Benjamite, the son of Bichri: and he blew the trumpet, and said, We have no portion in David, neither have we [any] inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel!

And he said to her, Unless the Lord help you, how shall I help you? From the threshing floor, or from the winepress?

And he said, God do so to me and more also, if the head of Elisha shall stand upon him this day.

A wise man shall judge nations, but a worthless man being angry laughs and does not fear.

Then Herod, secretly having called the wise men, ascertained from them the time that the star appeared.

And having sent them to Bethlehem, he said, "Go and carefully search for the young Child, and as soon as you find [Him], report back to me, so that I also may come and worship Him."

Then Herod, seeing that he had been deceived by the wise men, was greatly enraged; and he sent and executed all the boys in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had ascertained from the wise men.

But some of the Pharisees said to them, "Why do you do what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?"

But they were filled with fury, and they were discussing with one another what they might do to Jesus.

And when the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that He had not first washed before the meal.

And as He said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be dreadfully hostile, and to cross-examine Him about many things,

lying in wait for Him, and seeking to catch Him in something He might say, so that they might accuse Him.

But the chief priests took counsel, that they might also kill Lazarus,

saying, "Did we not give you strict orders not to continue teaching in this name? And behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you want to bring on us the blood of this Man!"

The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you murdered by hanging upon a cross.

And we are His witnesses of these words, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him."

But there arose some men from what was called the Synagogue of the Freedmen, both of the Cyrenians and the Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and Asia, debating with Stephen.

Then they secretly instigated men to be saying, "We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God."

Now hearing these things they were infuriated in their hearts, and were gnashing their teeth against him.

and he said, "Behold! I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"

and casting him outside the city, they stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes beside the feet of a young man named Saul.

For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Artemis, providing no little trade [for] the craftsmen,

And you observe and hear that not only at Ephesus, but almost in all of Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away a great multitude, saying that they are not gods which are made by human hands.

And hearing, and becoming full of anger, they were crying out saying, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!"
