declaring the ordinance of the Lord: the Lord has said to Me, You are My Son, today I have begotten You.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

For the Father loves the Son, and shows to Him all things which He Himself does; and greater works than these He will show Him, so that you may marvel.

For to which of the angels did He ever say: "You are My Son, today I have begotten You"? And again: "I will be to Him for a Father, and He shall be to Me for a Son"?

By this the love of God is manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, in order that we might live through Him.
