Open your mouth with the word of God, and judge all fairly.

But his wife said to him, If the Lord were pleased to slay us, He would not have received of our hand a whole burnt offering and a grain offering; and He would not have shown us all these things, neither would He have caused us to hear all these things as at this time.

even to his feet, and said, On me, my lord, be my wrong. Let your servant speak in your ears, and hear the words of your servant.

And now my lord, as the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, as the Lord has kept you from coming against innocent blood and from executing vengeance for yourself, now therefore let your enemies, and those that seek evil against my lord, become as Nabal.

And a wise woman cried from the wall, and said, Hear, hear; say to Joab, Draw close, and I will speak to him.

And she spoke, saying, Of old time they said thus, Surely one was asked in Abel, and Dan, whether the faithful in Israel failed in what they purposed; they will surely ask in Abel, even in like manner, whether they have failed.

And Joab answered and said, Far be it, far be it from me, that I should ruin or destroy.

And the woman went in to all the people, and she spoke to all the city in her wisdom; and they took off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri; and took it away and threw it to Joab. And he blew the trumpet, and the people separated from the city away from him, every man to his tent. And Joab returned to Jerusalem to the king.

And she said to them, Thus says the Lord God of Israel: Say to the man that sent you to Me,

because they have forsaken Me, and burnt incense to other gods, that they might provoke Me with the works of their hands; therefore My wrath shall burn forth against this place, and shall not be quenched.

because your heart was softened, and you were humbled before [Me], when you heard all that I spoke against this place, and against the inhabitants of it, that it should be utterly destroyed and accursed, and you tore your clothes, and wept before Me; I also have heard, says the Lord.

And the queen's maids and chamberlains went in and told her: and when she had heard what was done, she was disturbed; and she sent to clothe Mordecai, and take away his sackcloth; but he consented not.

if I have found favor in the sight of the king, let the king and Haman come again tomorrow to the feast which I shall prepare for them, and tomorrow I will do the same.

And she answered and said, If I have found favor in the sight of the king, let [my] life be granted to my petition, and my people to my request.

And the king said, Who [is] this that has dared to do this thing?

And she spoke yet again to the king, and fell at his feet, and beseeched [him] to do away the mischief of Haman, and all that he had done against the Jews.

And Esther said, If it seems good to you, and [if] I have found favor [in your sight], let an order be sent that the letters sent by Haman may be reversed, that were written for the destruction of the Jews, who are in your kingdom.

Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! May it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!

For behold, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the baby leaped for joy in my womb.

And Mary said: "My soul magnifies the Lord,

Because He looked upon the lowly state of His maidservant; for behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.

And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.

He has overthrown the mighty from their thrones, and exalted the lowly.

He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy,

And Mary remained with her about three months, and she returned to her house.

And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. And when Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

Let no corrupt word proceed from your mouth, but only what is good for edification, that it may give grace to them that hear.

Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, redeeming the time.

Some wound as they speak, like swords, but the tongues of the wise heal.

For thus formerly, the holy women who hoped on God also adorned themselves, subjecting themselves to their own husbands,

Finally, all [of you] be like-minded, sympathetic, loving the brothers, compassionate, friendly,

not rendering evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called for this purpose, that you may inherit a blessing.
