Trust in God with all your heart; and be not exalted in your own wisdom.

And Hazael said, Who is your servant? A dead dog, that he should do this thing? And Elisha said, The Lord has shown me that you [shall] rule over Syria.

The heart is deep beyond all things, and it constitutes the man, and who can know him?

For from within, out of the heart of men, come forth evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

All these evil things come from within and defile a man."

Then Jesus said to them, "You all will be made to stumble because of Me on this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.'

But Peter said to Him, "Even if all will be made to stumble, yet not I."

But he kept saying all the more profusely, "If it is necessary for me to die with You, by no means will I deny You!" And they all said likewise.

Therefore the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it does not submit to the law of God, nor indeed can it.

And He said to man, Behold, godliness is wisdom: and to abstain from evil is understanding.

and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him.

Is there anyone wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct [that] his works [are] in meekness of wisdom.

This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
