And when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, his heart was hardened, and he did not hearken to them, as the Lord said.

Then he goes and takes along with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and entering in they dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Thus it shall also be for this wicked generation."

But it has happened to them [according to] the [saying] of the true proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "A sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire."
