[My] son, eat honey, for the honeycomb is good, that your mouth may be sweetened.

Thus shall you perceive wisdom in your soul: for if you find it, your end shall be good, and hope shall not fail you.

And after some time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcass of the lion. And behold, a swarm of bees and honey [were] in the mouth of the lion.

And he took it into his hands, and went on eating, and he went to his father and his mother, and gave to them, and they did eat; but he did not tell them that he took the honey out of the mouth of the lion.

Now all [the people] of the land came to a forest; and there was honey on the ground.

And Jonathan had not heard when his father adjured the people; and he reached forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and dipped it into the honeycomb, and returned his hand to his mouth, and his eyes recovered their sight.

Butter and honey shall He eat, before He knows either to prefer evil [or] choose the good.

And it shall come to pass from their drinking an abundance of milk, [that] everyone that is left on the land shall eat butter and honey.

[It is] not good to eat much honey, but it is right to honor venerable sayings.

for he will vomit it up, and spoil your fair words.

"But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and worries of life, and that Day come upon you unexpectedly.

And do not get drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
