[ 16:5C] All of the works of the Lord [are done] with righteousness, and the ungodly [man] is kept for the evil day.

A man's steps are directed by the Lord: how then can a mortal understand His ways?

Blessed [be] the Lord God of our fathers, who has put it thus into the heart of the king, to glorify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem;

and has given me favor in the eyes of the king, and of his counselors, and all the rulers of the king, the exalted ones. And I was strengthened according to the good hand of God upon me, and I gathered chief men of Israel to go up with me.

[Turn] not [away], I pray, O Lord, but let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants, who desire to fear Your name, and prosper Your servant this day, and cause him to find mercy in the sight of this man (For I was the king's cupbearer).

And the king said to me, For what do you ask thus? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

And He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.

And He caused them to be pitied in the sight of all who carried them captive.

All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and He does according to His will in the host of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and there is none who shall withstand His power, and say to Him, What have You done?

and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him ruler over Egypt and all his house.

You broke open the fountains and torrents; You dried up mighty rivers.

at the voices of many waters; the billows of the sea are wonderful; the Lord is wonderful in high places.

The sea saw and fled; Jordan was turned back.

What [ailed] you, O sea, that you fled? And you, O Jordan, that you were turned back?

Behold, I [will] do new things, which shall presently spring forth, and you shall know them; and I will make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the dry land;

Who says to the deep, You shall be dried up, and I will dry up the rivers.

Then the third [one] poured out his bowl into the rivers and into the springs of water, and it became blood.

Then the sixth [one] poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.
