There was a certain man in the land of Uz, whose name [was] Job; and that man was true, blameless, righteous, and godly, abstaining from everything evil.

And the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than the beginning: and his livestock consisted of fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys of the pastures.

Hope in the Lord, and do good; and dwell on the land, and you shall be fed with the wealth of it.

For evildoers shall be destroyed; but they that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the land.

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight [themselves] in the abundance of peace.

For those that bless Him shall inherit the earth; and they that curse Him shall be utterly destroyed.

But the righteous shall inherit the earth, and dwell upon it forever.

For the Lord loves mercy and truth; God will give grace and glory; the Lord will not withhold good things from them that walk in innocence.

To the upright light has sprung up in darkness; he is pitiful, and merciful, and righteous.

For he shall not be moved forever; the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
