[There are] many thoughts in a man's heart, but the counsel of the Lord abides forever.

A man's steps are directed by the Lord: how then can a mortal understand His ways?

There is no wisdom, there is no courage, there is no counsel against the ungodly.

The steps of a man are rightly ordered by the Lord; and He will take pleasure in his way.

declaring beforehand the latter events before they come to pass, and they are accomplished together; and I said, all My counsel shall stand, and I will do all things that I have planned;

I know, O Lord, that man's way is not his own; neither shall a man go, and direct his going.
