The heart of the wise will discern the [things which proceed] from his own mouth, and on his lips he will wear knowledge.

A wise man in heart will receive commandments, but he that is unguarded in his lips shall be overthrown in his perverseness.

Son, if your heart is wise, you shall also gladden my heart;

behold, I have done according to your word: behold, I have given you an understanding and wise heart: there has not been [anyone] like you before you, and after you there shall not arise one like you.

For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I rejoice on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and innocent to what is evil.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

Good words are [like] honeycombs, and the sweetness thereof is a healing of the soul.

The lips of the wise are bound by discretion, but the hearts of the foolish are not safe.

The heart delights in ointments and wines and perfumes, but the soul is broken by calamities.

You are more beautiful than the sons of men; grace has been shed forth on Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever.

The Preacher sought diligently to find out acceptable words, and a correct writing, [even] words of truth.

The Lord, [even] God, gives me the tongue of instruction, to know when it is fit to speak a word; He has appointed for me early, He has given me an ear to hear;

And all were bearing witness to Him, and were marveling at the gracious words which came out of His mouth. And they said, "Is this not Joseph's son?"

The attendants answered them, "No man ever spoke like this Man!"
