[ 16:5C] All of the works of the Lord [are done] with righteousness, and the ungodly [man] is kept for the evil day.

[There are] many thoughts in a man's heart, but the counsel of the Lord abides forever.

A man's steps are directed by the Lord: how then can a mortal understand His ways?

As a rush of water, so is the king's heart in God's hand: He turns it wherever He wishes.

And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. And they compassed him round about to fight against him. And Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord delivered him; and God turned them away from him.

Blessed [be] the Lord God of our fathers, who has put it thus into the heart of the king, to glorify the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem;

[Turn] not [away], I pray, O Lord, but let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants, who desire to fear Your name, and prosper Your servant this day, and cause him to find mercy in the sight of this man (For I was the king's cupbearer).

The Lord has heard the desire of the poor: Your ear has inclined to the preparation of their heart;

Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to covetousness.

I know, O Lord, that man's way is not his own; neither shall a man go, and direct his going.

And I will give them another way, and another heart, to fear Me continually, and [that] for good to them and their children after them.

And I will make with them an everlasting covenant, which I will by no means turn away from them, and I will put My fear into their heart, that they may not depart from Me.

And I will give you a new heart, and will put a new spirit in you: and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh.

And I will put My Spirit in you, and will cause you to walk in My ordinances, and to keep My judgments, and do [them].

But thanks be to God who puts the same earnest care for you in the heart of Titus.

for it is God who is working in you, both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers.

Exercising His will He begat us by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.

And the Lord said to Moses, Who has given a mouth to man, and who has made the very hard of hearing, and the deaf, the seeing and the blind? Have not I, God?

And now go, and I will open your mouth, and will instruct you in what you shall say.

And you shall speak to him; and you shall put My words into his mouth, and I will open your mouth and his mouth, and I will instruct you in what you shall do.

And the Lord said to me, Say not, I am a child; for you shall go to all to whomsoever I shall send you, and according to all [the words] that I shall command you, you shall speak.

And the Lord stretched forth His hand to me, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have put My words into your mouth.

But whenever they hand you over, do not worry how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;

for you are not the [ones] speaking, but the Spirit of your Father who is speaking in you.

Now whenever they bring you to the synagogues and rulers and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say.

For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you must say."

Put it then in your hearts not to practice beforehand giving your defense;

for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict nor to withstand.
