The threatening of a king is like the roaring of a lion, but as dew on the grass, so is his favor.

As the thirsty earth expecting the rain, so they [waited for] my speech.

Were I to laugh at them, they would not believe it; and the light of my face has not failed.

Many say, Who will show us good things? The light of Your countenance, O Lord, has been manifested towards us.

For You will give him a blessing forever and ever; You will gladden him with joy with Your countenance.

You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me full of joy in Your presence."

For anger is in His wrath, but life in His favor; weeping shall tarry for the evening, but joy comes in the morning.

He shall come down as rain upon a fleece, and as drops falling upon the earth.

Let us follow on to know the Lord: we shall find Him ready as the morning, and He will come to us as the early and latter rain to the earth.

Ask of the Lord rain in [its] season, the early and the latter rain. The Lord has given bright signs, and will give them abundant rain, to everyone grass in the field.
