And Pharaoh hastened to call Moses and Aaron, saying, I have sinned before the Lord your God, and against you.

And Balaam said to the Angel of the Lord, I have sinned, for I did not know that You were standing opposite in the way to meet [me]; and now, if it shall not be pleasing to You [for me to go on], I shall return.

And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned, in that I have transgressed the word of the Lord and your direction; for I feared the people, and I listened to their voice.

saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." And they said, "What is [that] to us? You see to it!"

And the elders of Israel and the king were ashamed, and said, The Lord [is] righteous.

The Lord is known as executing judgments: the sinner is taken in the works of his hands. Pause.

The righteous Lord has cut in pieces the necks of sinners.

The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.

TSADE. The Lord is righteous, for I have provoked His mouth. Hear, I pray you, all people, and behold my grief: my virgins and my young men have gone into captivity.

The Lord also has watched, and brought these evils upon us: for the Lord our God is righteous in all His work which He has executed, but we have not heeded His voice.

But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you are storing up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God,

Now we know that as many things as the law says, it speaks to those under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
