Show me Your ways, O Lord; and teach me Your paths.

Lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are God my Savior; and I have waited on You all the day.

Be not as the horse and mule, which have no understanding; [but you must] constrain their jaws with bit and bridle, lest they should come near to you.

Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God; Your good Spirit shall guide me in the straight [way].

and He has made my mouth as a sharp sword, and He has hid me under the shadow of His hand; He has made me as a choice shaft, and He has hid me in His quiver;

The Lord, [even] God, gives me the tongue of instruction, to know when it is fit to speak a word; He has appointed for me early, He has given me an ear to hear;

And the Lord stretched forth His hand to me, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have put My words into your mouth.

But whenever they hand you over, do not worry how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;

for you are not the [ones] speaking, but the Spirit of your Father who is speaking in you.

But whenever they lead you forth to deliver you over, do not worry beforehand [as to] what you will say, nor rack your brains. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak this; for it is not you who is speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples."

Now whenever they bring you to the synagogues and rulers and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say.

For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you must say."

Put it then in your hearts not to practice beforehand giving your defense;

for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict nor to withstand.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and will remind you [of] all things which I said to you.

and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, in the opening of my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,
