And [God] said, You shall not be able to see My face; for no man shall see My face and live.

Will you find out the traces of the Lord? Or have you come to the end of that which the Almighty has made?

Behold, these are parts of His way; and we will hearken to Him at the least intimation of His word: but who knows the strength of His thunder, when He shall employ it?

No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, He who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared [Him].

For now we see through a mirror by reflection, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or is able to see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
