And God led them in the day by a pillar of cloud, to show them the way, and in the night by a pillar of fire.

Not a man shall stand against you all the days of your life; and as I was with Moses, so will I also be with you, and I will not fail you, or neglect you.

out of all their affliction; not an ambassador, nor a messenger, but [He H]imself saved them, because He loved them and spared them; He Himself redeemed them, and took them up, and lifted them up all the days of old.

teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

until the Lord your God give your brethren rest, as also He has given to you, and they also shall inherit the land, which the Lord our God gives them on the other side of the Jordan; then you shall return, each one to his inheritance which I have given you.

And the Lord gave them rest round about, as He swore to their fathers; not one of all their enemies maintained his ground against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hands.

And now the Lord our God has given our brethren rest, as He told them. Now then, return and depart to your homes, and to the land of your possession, which Moses gave you on the other side of the Jordan.

And it came to pass after many days after the Lord had given Israel rest from all his enemies round about, that Joshua was old and advanced in years.

So I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter into My rest.

Thus says the Lord, Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths of the Lord; and see what is the good way and walk in it, and you shall find purification for your souls. But they said, We will not walk [in them].

Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.

For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not have spoken afterward of another day.

Then there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
