And the Lord said to him, Go down and then come up, you and Aaron with you; but let not the priests and the people force their way to come up to God, lest the Lord destroy some of them.

And the Lord said to Moses, Go forward, go up from here, you and your people, whom you brought out of the land of Egypt, into the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, I will give it to your seed.

And the Lord said to me, Arise, go down quickly from here, for your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have transgressed; they have gone aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them, and have made themselves a molten image.

Seventy weeks have been determined upon your people, and upon the holy city, for sin to be ended, to seal up transgressions, to blot out iniquities, to make atonement for iniquities, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.

And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people combined against Aaron, and said to him, Arise and make us gods who shall go before us; for this Moses, the man who brought us forth out of the land of Egypt- we do not know what has become of him.

And Moses prayed before the Lord God, and said, Why, O Lord, are You very angry with Your people, whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great strength, and with Your mighty arm?

[ 6:12] But the earth was corrupted before God, and the earth was filled with iniquity.

[ 6:13] And the Lord God saw the earth, that it was corrupted; because all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth.

lest you transgress, and make to yourselves a carved image, any kind of figure, the likeness of male or female,

They have sinned, not [pleasing] Him; spotted children, a crooked and perverse generation.

And it came to pass when the judge died, that they went back, and again corrupted [themselves] worse than their fathers to go after other gods, to serve them and to worship them: they did not abandon their own doings, nor their stubborn ways.

They have corrupted themselves according to the days of the hill. He will remember their iniquities, He will take vengeance on their sins.
