Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Every man or woman who shall commit any sin that is common to man, or if that soul shall have neglected the commandment and transgressed;

[that person] shall confess the sin which he has committed, and shall make satisfaction for his trespass: he [shall pay] the principal, and shall add to it the fifth part, and shall make restoration to him against whom he has trespassed

Whatsoever trespasses anyone shall commit against his neighbor, and if he shall take upon him an oath so that he should swear, and he shall come and make confession before Your altar in this house,

"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

"And if your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have won your brother.

Thus also My heavenly Father will do to you, if you do not forgive each [one] his brother their trespasses, from your hearts."

Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day he returns, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."

Also you shall select for yourself able men out of all the people, God fearing [men], righteous men, hating pride, and you shall set over the people captains of thousands and captains of hundreds, and captains of fifties, and captains of tens.

And they shall judge the people at all times, and those matters too burdensome they shall bring to you, but they shall judge the smaller cases; so they shall relieve you and help you.

You shall not pervert the judgment of the poor in his cause.

And you shall not receive gifts; for gifts blind the eyes of the seeing, and corrupt just words.

You shall make for yourself judges and officers in your cities, which the Lord your God gives you in [your] tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment;

they shall not pervert judgment, nor favor persons, nor receive a gift; for gifts blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

And if there should be a dispute between men, and they should come forward to judgment, and [the judges] judge, and justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked;

Whatsoever man of your brethren that dwell in their cities [shall bring] the cause that comes before you, between blood [and] blood, and between precept and commandment, and ordinances and judgments, you shall even decide for them; so they shall not sin against the Lord, and there shall not be wrath upon you, and upon your brethren. Thus you shall do, and you shall not sin.

And if the thing stolen is left and is in his hand alive, whether ox or sheep, he shall restore them twofold.

And if anyone gives to his neighbor money or goods to keep, and they are stolen out of the man's house, if the thief is found he shall repay double.
