because of the enemies of Your hand. O Lord, destroy them from the earth; scatter them in their life, though their belly has been filled with Your hidden [treasures]; they have been satisfied with uncleanness, and have left the remnant [of their possessions] to their babes.

One shall die in his perfect strength, and wholly at ease and prosperous;

and his inwards are full of fat, and his marrow is diffused [throughout him].

Then is his sin brought to remembrance, and he vanishes like a vapor of dew; but let what he has done be recompensed to him, and let every unrighteous one be crushed like rotten wood.

For there is no remembrance of the wise man with the fool forever; forasmuch as now [in] the coming days all things are forgotten. And how shall the wise man die with the fool?

I have seen all things in the days of my vanity; there is a just man perishing in his justice, and there is an ungodly man remaining in his wickedness.

And it came to pass that the beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.

They have enclosed [themselves with] their own fat; their mouths have spoken pride.
