Behold I and the children which God has given me; and they shall be [for] signs and wonders in the house of Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion.

[ 3:7] And the Angel of the Lord testified to Joshua, saying,

Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, "Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against

Now when they observed the boldness of Peter and John, and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.

For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men appointed to death; for we became a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.

in everything being oppressed, yet not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;

always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, so that also the life of Jesus may be revealed in our body.

So then death is working in us, but life in you.

by honor and dishonor, by ill repute and good repute; as deceivers, and yet true;

as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

In God [is] my salvation and my glory; [He is] the God of my help, and my hope is in God.

I looked on [my] right hand, and behold, for there was none that noticed me; refuge failed me; and there was none that cared for my soul.

I cried unto You, O Lord, and said, You are my hope, my portion in the land of the living.

O Lord, You are my strength and my help, and my refuge in days of evil. To You the Gentiles shall come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, How worthless [were the] idols [which] our fathers procured for themselves, and there is no help in them.
