When you till the earth, then it shall not continue to give its strength to you: you shall be groaning and trembling on the earth.

If You cast me out this day from the face of the earth, and I shall be hidden from Your presence, and I shall be groaning and trembling upon the earth, then it will be that anyone that finds me shall kill me.

And Adoni-Bezek fled, and they pursued after him, and took him, and cut off his thumbs and his big toes.

And Adoni-Bezek said, Seventy kings, having their thumbs and their big toes cut off, gathered their food under my table: as I therefore have done, so God has recompensed me: and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

For the living will know that they shall die; but the dead know nothing, and there is no longer any reward to them, for their memory is lost.

And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have scattered them among the nations; and I will disperse them into the countries.

And I will leave among them [a few] men in number [spared] from the sword, and from famine, and pestilence; that they may declare all their iniquities among the nations where they have gone; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

yet behold, [there shall be] men left in it, those that escaped, who [shall] lead forth of it sons and daughters- behold, they [shall] go forth to you, and you shall see their ways and their thoughts, and you shall mourn over the evils which I have brought upon Jerusalem, [even] all the evils which I have brought upon it.

And they shall comfort you, because you shall see their ways and their thoughts; and you shall know that I have not done in vain all that I have done in it, says the Lord.

And in those days men shall seek death, and shall by no means find it; they shall be longing to die, yet death shall elude them.

You made us as sheep [intended] for food; and You scattered us among the nations.

Therefore may God destroy you forever, may He pluck you up and utterly remove you from [your] dwelling, and your root from the land of the living. Pause.

And I will scatter you among the nations, and the sword shall come upon you and consume you; and your land shall be desolate, and your cities shall be desolate.

And the Lord shall scatter you among all nations, and you shall be left few in number among all the nations, among which the Lord shall bring you.

And the Lord your God shall scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other; and there you shall serve other gods [of] wood and stone, which you knew not, nor your fathers.

then the Lord shall heal your iniquities, and shall pity you, and shall again gather you out from all the nations, among which the Lord has scattered you.

If your dispersion be from one end of heaven to the other, from there the Lord your God shall gather you, and from there the Lord your God shall take you.

And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have scattered them among the nations; and I will disperse them into the countries.

He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

He has overthrown the mighty from their thrones, and exalted the lowly.

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the fields enter into her.

[ 40:7] Bring down also the proud man, and consume at once the ungodly.

But You, O Lord, are my helper; my glory, and the One that lifts up my head.

For the Lord loves mercy and truth; God will give grace and glory; the Lord will not withhold good things from them that walk in innocence.
