And I said, Verily in vain have I justified my heart, and washed my hands in innocence.

If I said, I will speak thus; behold, I [should] have broken covenant with the generation of Your children.

that the Lord my God is righteous, and there is no iniquity in Him.

You said, He that serves God labors in vain: and what have we gained in that we have kept His ordinances, and in that we have walked as suppliants before the face of the Lord Almighty?

But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you are storing up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation, and of the righteous judgment of God,

Woe to their soul, for they have devised an evil counsel against themselves, saying against themselves, Let us bind the just, for he is burdensome to us; therefore shall they eat the fruits of their works.

So what fruit did you have then of which [things] you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

But now having been freed from sin, and having become enslaved to God, you have your fruit [resulting] in sanctification, and the end, eternal life.

The Lord is known as executing judgments: the sinner is taken in the works of his hands. Pause.

and every man was alarmed, and they related the works of God, and understood His deeds.

Let the nations rejoice and exalt, for You shall judge the people in equity, and shall guide the nations on the earth. Pause.

Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on them that fear Him, those that hope in His mercy;

for He comes, for He comes to judge the earth; He shall judge the world in righteousness, and the people with His truth.

For He has come to judge the earth; He shall judge the world in righteousness, and the nations in uprightness.

you that have provoked God with your words. But you said, In what way have we provoked Him? In that you say, Everyone that does evil is a pleasing object in the sight of the Lord, and He takes pleasure in such; and where is the God of justice?

and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers died, all things continue as from the beginning of creation."

by which the world at that time perished, being flooded by water;

But in this let it not escape your notice, beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

But the day of the Lord shall come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a rushing noise, and the elements, burning with heat, shall be dissolved, both the earth and the works that are in it shall be burned up.
