Attend to the voice of my supplication, my King, and my God; for to You, O Lord, will I pray.

In the morning You shall hear my voice: in the morning will I wait upon You, and will look up.

At midnight I arose, to give thanks to You for the judgments of Your righteousness.

I arose before the dawn, and cried; I hoped in Your words.

My eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on Your oracles.

And when Daniel knew that the decree was ordered, he went into his house. And his windows were opened in his chambers toward Jerusalem, and three times in the day he knelt upon his knees, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he used to do before.

Then they answered and said before the king, Daniel of the sons of the captivity of Judah, has not submitted to your decree; and three times in the day he makes his requests of his God.

And in the very early morning before dawn, He arose and He went out, and went away to a deserted place; and there He was praying.

And having taken leave of them, He departed to the mountain to pray.

Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them walking on the sea, and He wanted to pass by them.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that one must always pray and not lose heart,

Now there was a widow in that city; and she kept coming to him, saying, 'Give justice to me against my adversary.'

yet because this widow bothers me I will give justice to her, lest she wear me out by forever coming to me.'"

And God, shall He not execute justice for His own elect, who cry out day and night to Him, and yet He is patient with them?

Now Peter and John were going up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, [which was] the ninth [hour].

About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming to him and saying to him, "Cornelius!"

Now on the next day, as they were traveling and drawing near to the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, [at] about the sixth hour.

So Cornelius said, "From the fourth day until this hour I was fasting, and at the ninth hour I was praying in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in shining clothing,

through every prayer and petition, praying in every season in the Spirit, being watchful to this same thing with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints--

Pray without ceasing!

Behold, I laugh at reproach; I will not speak: or I will cry out, but judgment is nowhere.

GIMEL. Yea, [though] I cry and shout, He shuts out my prayer.

who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up both prayers and supplications, with strong crying and tears to the [One] who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His fear of God,
