A Psalm of David on the first day of the week. The earth is the Lord's and all its fullness; the world, and all that dwell in it.

He has founded it upon the seas, and prepared it upon the rivers.

Blessed are you of the Lord, who made the heaven and the earth.

The heaven of heavens [belongs] to the Lord; but He has given the earth to the sons of men.

And now if you will indeed hear My voice, and keep My covenant, you shall be to Me a peculiar people above all nations; for the whole earth is Mine.

Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens belong to the Lord your God, the earth and all things that are in it.

[ 41:2] Or who will resist Me, and stand their ground, since the whole world under heaven is Mine?

But if anyone says to you, "This was offered to idols," do not eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for his conscience' sake; for "The earth is the LORD's, and all its fullness."

How great are Your works, O Lord! In wisdom have You done them all; the earth is filled with Your creation.

The eyes of all wait upon You; and You give [them] their food in due season.

You open Your hands, and fill every living thing with pleasure.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the herb of grass bearing seed according to its kind and according to its likeness, and the fruit tree bearing fruit whose seed is in it, according to its kind on the earth, and it was so.

And to all the wild beasts of the earth, and to all the flying creatures of heaven, and to every reptile creeping on the earth, which has in itself the breath of life, even every green plant for food; and it was so.

And all the wild beasts, as many as are with you, and all flesh, both of birds and beasts, and every reptile moving upon the earth, bring forth with you: be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
