Pity me, O Lord, for I am afflicted; my eye is troubled with indignation, my soul and my belly.

And Uzziah was angry, and in his hand [was] the censer to burn incense in the temple. And when he was angry with the priests, then the leprosy rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the Lord, over the altar of incense.

So the devil went out from the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from [his] feet to [his] head.

And he took a potsherd to scrape away the discharge, and sat upon a dung heap outside the city.

And again, He chastens him with sickness on his bed, and the multitude of his bones are pained.

until his flesh shall be consumed, and he shall show his bones bare.

Why should you be smitten anymore, transgressing more and more? The whole head is pained, and the whole heart sad.

From the feet to the head, there is no soundness in them; neither wound, nor bruise, nor festering ulcer [are healed]; it is not possible to apply a plaister, nor oil, nor bandages.

Pity me, O Lord; for I am weak: heal me, O Lord; for my bones are vexed.

You shall cause me to hear gladness and joy; my afflicted bones shall rejoice.

For my days have vanished like smoke, and my bones have been parched like a stick.

By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones has cleaved to my flesh.

For we have perished in Your anger, and in Your wrath we have been troubled.

You have set our transgressions before You; our age is in the light of Your countenance.

NUN. Our way has been searched out and examined, and we will turn to the Lord.

We have sinned, we have transgressed; and You have not pardoned.
