They have opened their mouth against Me, as a ravening and roaring lion.

[even] Syria from the rising of the sun, and the Greeks from the setting of the sun, who devour Israel with open mouth. For all this [His] anger is not turned away, but still [His] hand is exalted.

And as He said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be dreadfully hostile, and to cross-examine Him about many things,

lying in wait for Him, and seeking to catch Him in something He might say, so that they might accuse Him.

Let those that say to me, Aha, aha, quickly receive shame for their reward.

For You have delivered me out of all [my] afflictions, and my eye has seen [its desire] upon my enemies.

Let them that say to me, Aha, aha, be turned back and put to shame immediately.
