Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal [this] to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

But He said, "More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

Blessed are those who do His commandments, so that their right shall be to the tree of life, and they may enter by the gates into the city.

And come, let us reason together, says the Lord; and though your sins be as purple, I will make them white as snow; and though they be as scarlet, I will make [them] white as wool.

I, [even] I, am He that blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and your sins; and I will remember [them] no more.

For behold, I have blotted your transgressions out as a cloud, and your sin as darkness; turn to Me, and I will redeem you.

Who is a God like You, canceling iniquities, and passing over the sins of the remnant of His inheritance? And He has not kept His anger for a testimony, for He delights in mercy.

He will return and have mercy upon us; He will sink our iniquities, and they shall be cast into the depth of the sea, even all our sins.

Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this Man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

and from all things from which you could not (by the Law of Moses) be justified, by Him everyone that believes is justified.

just as David also speaks of the blessing of the man to whom God accounts righteousness apart from works:

Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall by no means impute sin."

You have forgiven Your people their transgressions; You have covered all their sins. Pause.

and do not cover [their] iniquity.
