A writing of David. Keep me, O Lord; for I have hoped in You.

I said to the Lord, You are my Lord; my goodness is nothing apart from You.

The Lord is my firm support, and my refuge, and my deliverer; my God is my helper, I will hope in Him; [He is] my defender, and the horn of my salvation, and my helper.

For the end, concerning the morning aid, A Psalm of David. O God, my God, attend to me; why have You forsaken me? The account of my transgressions is far from my salvation.

O my God, I will cry to You by day, but You will not hear; and by night, and [it shall] not [be reckoned] to me [as] folly.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you trouble me? Hope in God; for I will give thanks to Him, [who is] the health of my countenance, [and] my God.

They shall be afraid, but I will trust in You.

In God (I will praise [His] word); all the day long have I hoped in God; I will not fear; what shall man do to me?

A Psalm of David, when he was in the Wilderness of Edom. O God, my God, I cry to You early; my soul has thirsted for You: how often has my flesh [longed] after You, in a barren and trackless and dry land!

O God, go not far from me, O my God, draw near to my help.

I will also therefore give thanks to You, O God, [because of] Your truth, on an instrument of psalmody; I will sing psalms to You on the harp, O Holy One of Israel.

He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You [will]."

Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, let Your will be done."

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lima sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'"
